Why Do You Need An On Track Routine & How To Build One

Before an athlete can truly start to improve they must first become consistent. Consistency is what allows coaches to really get a grasp on what are the most important areas for improvement and what the root things they need to concetrate on to help the athlete overcome the challenges.

Consistency also limits variables for the athlete themselves. As you learn to find “the zone” where you mind and body operate at peak performance you will learn that routine is how you learn to find that zone everytime you need it. Routine is what you build into your schedule so that you know the second you hop on that bike, or hop in that racecar you will be at your best.

If you are a motorsport athlete that wants to take themselves to the next level before thinking about how to improve your techniques on the race track, first think about how you approach each session or each race weekend. Learning to optimize this is going into a weekend will get you in the right frame of mind to make the right choices on the right race track.
