Dion introduces 5 of the drills that will be featured in the Blayze Drills library!
Mental Intensity Drill
This one is focused on getting up to speed faster during your race weekends. Try 3 sets of 5 lap runs. Your goal is to try and go as absolutely fast as you can right away! Take a 2 - 5 minute break between each set.
Mental Endurance Drill
This one is all about building consistency and strengthening your minds ability to stay focused! Try 1 set of 30 minutes -- your goal is to do all laps within half a second. To achieve this you will likely have to start slow, but each time you try this work on going a little faster while keeping consistency.
Brake Release Focus Drill
This drill is focused on being very specific with where your end of brake zone comes and changing it up. Try 3 sets of 10 minutes. The first set have your brake release come at turn in, second set have it come after the apex, and for the final set try and find the perfect end of brake zone placement for all corners.
Too Much Entry Speed Drill
This is all about finding and actually going over the limit, but in a way that doesn't cause us to leave the road. Getting up to the limit safely! Go for 3 sets of 7 laps. Your goal is to pick 1 corner to focus on. In that corner slowly build more and more speed until you start making mistakes in that corner.
Reference Point Call Out
3 sets of 10 min runs. The goal here is to verbally call out the next reference point when you look at it. This will help highlight if you're missing any reference points in a specific corner and help you stay in the moment, on the task at hand while driving.
