Common Questions

  • I look on social media for golf tips and coaches are using language and explaining things in such a complicated manner. Would that the same with you?

Teaching anything requires the ability to adapt to a student's way of learning. Some people like technical explanations and others (like me) prefer less details and a more holistic approach. Fortunately, my years of experience playing and teaching have allowed me to navigate all styles of learning.

  • If I could be a better putter my scores would drastically come down, where would I start?

Putting is often considered to be a game within the game and rightly so. Sometimes it takes an improved technique to improve ones putting and sometimes it takes a shift in perspective. Whichever it is for you, we will help you achieve your goals.

  • My ball flight is always left to right (slice), am I stuck with that forever or can I learn to hit a draw?

Fortunately no-one is condemned to slicing the ball forever. Once you improve your technique, you will be able to hit pretty much any shot you wish.

  • One day my swing is dialed in, the next I can hit the ball well at all. Can you help me?

This is indeed one of the eternal problems in the game. Rest assured that you are not alone. Even tour players experience this throughout a season. Once you gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of the swing you will have more consistency in your game, not only from shot to shot but also from day to day.

  • I don't hit the ball as far as I think I should, can you help me hit it further?

The first thing we need to do is to make sure that you are making center contact. We will also look at your path to make sure that you are not making a glancing blow on the ball. Once we sort those items out, we can take a look at gaining clubhead speed.
