Over hand throw - bouncing ball

Instructions

Over hand throw (windmill) ball against the wall so it will bounce on the ground once before catching. Catch the ball before it rises back above your hip waste. This should be a basket catch (turning your hand down towards the ground).Repeat.

Focus areas

Primary

Reading the bounce off the ground, coming towards the ball to meet it, not waiting for it to come to you.

Secondary

Complete each catch before rushing to the next. Keep the speed up, but under control.

Playing professionally for the past 6 years has taken me to teams in the Netherlands, Cyprus, Chicago, and Kansas City. I also played college soccer at Florida State University and was fortunate to win a National Championship.
