Karting

Instructions

Select any car and any track for this exercise. We want to have our brake release point come about 1 car length after the apex in every corner. The challenge here is to focus on extending your brake zone to a later than normal point without way over slowing the corner. Notice how the car balance changes and how you can adjust your brake zone as you extend your braking zone.

Focus areas

Primary

Keeping your brake release point consistently 1 car length after the apex

Secondary

Work towards rolling more entry speed

2020 GT4 America Champion

Car Racing

I’ve been racing nearly my entire life, with experience in everything from open-wheel racing, touring cars, to GT and prototypes. In 2020 I won a GT4 America Championship driving with Andretti Autosport, and have been recognized as one of the most winning drivers in GT4 racing in the US. My goal as an instructor is to teach you the “how and why” to improve as a driver. It’s easy to tell you what to do to be faster, but becoming a better driver on track takes more than that.
